Tunnel and Plug Sizes
Measuring tunnels and plugs is quite straightforward. However, to accurately measure the size, you need a caliper tool. A ruler or measuring tape can help, but is not the best way to measure the size.
Choosing the correct size for your new tunnel or plug is much like the bar thickness of other piercings. Some tunnels and plugs require a fully healed ear and some skin flexibility to be put in safely.
Different Types of Tunnels and Plugs
With five different main types of tunnels and plugs, there is definitely something for everyone. Each type has its own pros and cons.
Single-flared and no-flared plugs or tunnels are a bit less common. The lack of flares on one or both sides is especially great for when you are stretching to a new size. Tunnels and Plugs Aftercare
Aftercare for tunnels and plugs is a bit different from other piercings. Bacteria will nest in the area between the earlobe and the piercing, which often leads to a smelly earlobe. Wash your ears regularly and use a bit of our Piercing Balm to keep your earlobes fresh.
It's also recommended to use Jojoba Oil. It softens the skin and prevents both your skin as well as tunnels and plugs made of wood from drying out.
